‘Millionaires’ is the new single from London based singer/songwriter Brooke Law.
Brooke wrote ‘Millionaires’ with her boyfriend as students together while sitting in a bedsit wondering what the future holds.
Brooke’s music is delivered in her distinctive raspy voice . It encompasses elements of pop, country and rock. She is driven, empowering, and above all gutsy. Her music reflects an era of awareness and strength both of which are prevalent today as she pays homage to pop and country rock classics. Her influences include Janis Joplin, KT Tunstall, Lissie, Ellie Goulding, and Miley Cyrus.
The single features Andy Jordan. Andy is a Soul/Jazz balladeer and actor. His soulful vocals work well with Brooke’s gritty voice.
Brooke started to write songs at the age of 15. She studied for a music degree at the Institute of Contemporary Music, during which time she wrote with leading producers and writers including Fiona Bevan (Ed Sheeran), Jez Ashurst (Elle Henderson, Little Mix), John Fortis (Ellie Goulding, Laura Marling, Lana Del Ray) and Adam Argyle (Rita Ora, James Bay, Dua Lipa).
Her music has received regular airplay across the BBC Network. It has also been featured on in-store radio playlists globally and has garnered a cumulative stream total of 800k on Spotify and 400k views of her music videos on VEVO/YouTube
In 2019 she was selected by BBC Asian Network and BBC Music Introducing as one of their ‘Artists to Watch’.
Brooke’s single ‘Millionaires’ was Single of the Week on CountryLine TV. She also performed a session and interview for CountryLine. Play includes Chris Country Radio, BBC Scotland, BBC Essex and HotnGold Radio. She was also interviewed on London Live TV.
Pre-Covid-19, Brooke had been giving electrifying performances on both the London nightlife scene and in some of the UK’s favourite music venues.
This year has of course been very different, but her music continues to be played on YouTube and downloaded via Spotify.
She is back performing live and has kicked this off by supporting Sophie Ellis-Bextor at the Foodie Festival in London, Folklore Festival, The Ned and the Coffee Festival
Brooke Law is an exciting, young British singer/songwriter who is set to win many more fans in the months and years to come!
